How It Works
Pitch Detection
Uses YIN-Lite to track your pitch continuously. Only confident, voiced frames update the range - background noise is ignored.
Voice Type Bands
The chart shows approximate ranges for Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo-Soprano, and Soprano. These are loose guidelines - real voices overlap.
Logarithmic Scale
The frequency axis uses a log scale so octaves are equally spaced - matching how musical pitch is perceived.
Tips
Sustain each note for at least half a second. Try sliding from your lowest comfortable note to your highest. Click Reset to start a new session.
No ML Model
No machine learning model is used. Range tracking is done entirely with the YIN-Lite pitch detection algorithm. All processing runs locally in your browser.
